How we can help

Most car keys have a chip, called a transponder, that the car checks before it will start. Remotes and keyless fobs are paired to the car too. A new or replacement key needs programming before it will work, and now and then a key loses its coding.

We program keys at the car with diagnostic equipment, so there is no need to have it taken anywhere.

Questions

All questions
My remote has stopped working. Is it the battery?

Often, yes. Try a new battery first. If the buttons still do nothing, the remote may need reprogramming or repair.

Can you program a key I bought online?

Sometimes. It has to be the right key and chip for your car. Send us the registration and the key's details before you buy, and we will tell you whether it will work.

What do you need from me?

The registration, where the car is and what has happened. Before we open or make a key for any car, we ask to see ID that shows you are the registered keeper.
